We have a prayer labyrinth at Shepherd!
What is a prayer labyrinth?

A prayer labyrinth is a path with a purpose. It is not a maze, but a pattern with a single route to the center. The prayer labyrinth is not meant to disorient you, but to reorient you in prayer and connection with God. For centuries, Christians have walked labyrinths as a way to engage the body as well as the heart and spirit in contemplation and meditation. Labyrinths have a long spiritual faith history and can be found all around the world. One way to pray a labyrinth is to worship and praise God as you walk to the center, then intercede for people and concerns as you walk back to the outside. Today there are churches from many different denominations that encourage people to use labyrinths as part of their devotional practices. It is often used as a prayer teaching tool.
We’re excited to welcome this new way for us to practice prayer, to teach our preschoolers about prayer and to
invite the Shoreview community to learn more about prayer and connection with God. We invite you to walk the labyrinth and pray!
