Typically, most choirs take a break in the summer. However, the Twin Cities has a few choirs that sing just in the summer and they are ALL going to sing at Shepherd this summer in the span of ONE week. Please join us for these FREE events!
The first concert takes place on Saturday, July 27th as The Summer Singers perform at Shepherd at 7:30pm. This choir has been in existence since 1986, only forming in the summer. This year, Shepherd’s Director of Music and Worship, Shaun Halland, will be singing with them.
Then on Monday, July 29th we will be joined by Lumina at 7:30pm. Lumina is a women’s quartet comprised of professional singers based here in the Twin Cities.
Finally, we will be joined by Vox Nova Chorale on Saturday, August 3rd at 7:30pm. They were founded and led by former Shepherd Director of Music and Worship, Vicki Peters. They rehearse and sing only in the summer, giving opportunities for emerging conductors and composers to share their gifts.
All three of these events are at 7:30pm and FREE to ALL. Let’s fill up our sanctuary and celebrate the gift of song this summer!
