Our text for this Sunday:
- Luke 12:49-56
- Hebrews 11:29-12:2
As we approach this together I want you to be “pondering” on a couple of things…
Luke text: We tend to play “duck and cover” when conflict arises as we wait for it to be over. Are division and conflict the same thing? How might our propensity to hide from conflict (or anything that even smells like conflict) hinder our Kingdom building work? Or doing what matters to God?
Hebrews text: “By faith” is used a lot in this passage and attributed to some powerhouses of the Biblical story with some impressive acts of faith. Reread vs 33-34, what could we do “by faith?” What stops us from doing these acts?
Bring these thoughts with this Sunday. And feel free to email me with your thoughts (or questions) as well at email@example.com. I’d love to hear from you!
