Focus question: Has God ever called you to serve someone you didn't like or even hated?
Pastor’s Ponderings for January 24, 2020
Our text for this Sunday are:
As we approach the text together I want you to “ponder” of a couple of things
Jonah: How hard must it have been for the Jews to learn that God’s love was for everyone, even the Assyrians?
Mark: In this text the verbs for “repent” and “believe” are ongoing actions – to be continually performed. Is this what we normally think of these actions?
Bring these thoughts with this Sunday as we worship together. And feel free to email me with your thoughts (or questions) as well. I’d love to hear from you!
Peace, Pastor Renee
