Join us on Thursday, October 12th for a concert by the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra. Led by Jonathan Bredin, The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra is a community orchestra formed in 1991 to preserve and foster the enjoyment of mandolin music. They have about 25 musicians, playing mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, and bass. Their repertoire includes old and new compositions for mandolin ensembles, transcriptions of classical music, and arrangements of popular tunes. The program starts at 6:30 pm and is free and open to the public.

This is a free event. All are welcome!

An event not to be missed, David Cherwien will present an All Saints themed hymn festival here at Shepherd on Thursday, November 2nd. David is a nationally recognized organist, improviser and church musician based here in the Twin Cities. He also served as Artistic Director of the National Lutheran Choir for 21 years. His creativity and thoughtfulness with respect to the church’s hymnody is a testament to the power of hymns in our worship. Shepherd’s Celebration Choir will be joined by 4 other local church choirs to comprise a massed choir that will lead the event alongside David. We expect over 120 singers! We will also hear readings presented by Jennifer Baker-Trinity, an ELCA deacon and Program Manager for Resource Development for the ELCA and Augsburg Fortress. The event is free to all and begins at 7:30pm.

Invite your friends and neighbors–you are guaranteed to be uplifted!
