"Shepherd of the Hills Preschool is a warm and welcoming environment for kids to have their first introduction to school. It's a community experience where a connection with all the children and their families are fostered. Shepherd of the Hills Preschool students know they belong and feel cared for; I have not been a part of another preschool program where the teachers have been more kind or patient. My children have attended Shepherd for the last 5 years where they have not only learned so much academically but gained the confidence and independence they need to take on kindergarten with ease. I am grateful to this program and all of their staff for being a part of our family. I cannot reccomend them more. "

Registration Information
If you are interested in learning more about our preschool and would like to schedule a tour, please contact Mrs. Ylonen.

For our school year program, your child must be three years old by November 30, 2025 to register for our Full Day Preschool Program, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon and Tuesday Thursday morning classes; they must be four years old by September 1, 2025 to register for our Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning class. All preschool children must be potty trained before school begins.

​Licensing 
The preschool is licensed for three, four, and five year old classes with a capacity of 20 children for preschool with two adults per class. Toddler capacity is 14 students with two teachers. Lastly, our school age capacity is 15 students and  with one teacher. The preschool has been operating since 1997.

Shepherd of the Hills Preschool and Childcare is an outreach ministry of Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church and a service to the community by providing a quality preschool education program for children 33 months- 5 years within a Christian environment.
