Holy hammers - habitat for huanity
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity & Holy Hammers. Members and friends of Shepherd continue to be involved in building several homes in the St. Paul area.
Holy Hammers Habitat for Humanity Project for 2022: The Holy Hammers coalition of churches is helping build affordable housing again this year. We will be working on two projects sequentially. The first is finishing up a new home already underway and the second is the rehab of an existing home. You will find a plan for the Woodbridge home and photos of both sites attached. Dates: April 25 – May 20 (weekdays) Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM – Home Building Location: 1297 Woodbridge St, St. Paul Build Type: New Construction - finishes Map: https://goo.gl/maps/Ept9THG7pyynJXcW9 Dates: May 23 – July 1 (weekdays) Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM – Home Building Location: 564 State St. Unit A, St. Paul Build Type: Rehab Map: https://goo.gl/maps/bB3Ar1E6et6qab4N8 Registration: Registration at the online site will be open for any Holy Hammers volunteer to sign up for any day in the project. However, we encourage volunteers to try first to sign up for one of the days assigned as a focus day for your congregation if one of those works with your schedule. That way folks are more likely to find others they know at the site and will help us distribute volunteers evenly across the project. The focus days for Shepherd are: May 16, May 27, June 29* *Women only Number of Volunteers each day: 8-10 The maximum number allowed is set due to safety, supervision, and productivity issues on site. All volunteers must sign up online ahead of time. The online sign-up system will limit the total workers each day. Volunteers who arrive without signing up may be sent home. Ralph reeder food shelf
The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf is a community program of the Mounds View School District. It serves residents in our school district - our friends and neighbors - who are having difficulty putting food on their table. Shepherd partners with Ralph Reeder through donations and volunteer support. Click here for more information.
tanzania sibling congregation
Through the Saint Paul Area Synod and ELCA Global Mission, Shepherd has the opportunity to partner with Bega Kwa Bega ("Shoulder to Shoulder") and the Kidamali congregation in Iringa, Tanzania. We are able to support and pray for their ministry as they in turn do the same for ours, here in Shoreview. Click here for more information.
